Camping Confort Privacy Policy

SA Confort Camping attaches great importance to protecting your privacy and your

personal data. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you about how we collect, use and protect your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Belgian legislation.

2. What data do we collect?

In connection with your booking and your stay, we collect the following data:

  • Identification data: surname, first name, date of birth, copy of identity card or passport (on arrival).
  • Contact details: postal address, email address, telephone number.
  • Stay details: dates of stay, composition of the family/group (names and ages ofaccompanying persons).
  • Payment details: payment method, bank details for refunds(deposits).
  • Practical details: vehicle registration number (for access to the barrier).


3. Why do we use your data and on what legal basis?

Your data is processed for specific purposes and is based on strict legal grounds:

  • The performance of the booking contract: to manage your booking, contact you regarding your stay, and welcome you on arrival.
  • Compliance with our legal obligations: for issuing invoices and maintaining our accounts, as well as for completing the guest register (police form) in accordance with Belgian legislation.
  • Our legitimate interest: to ensure the safety of property and people on the campsite (access control via number plate) and to handle any complaints you may have.
  • Your consent: to send you our promotional offers or newsletters (you maywithdraw this consent at any time).


4. How long do we keep your data?

Your data is only kept for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was

collected:

  • Accounting and billing data: 7 years from the date the invoice is issued (Belgian tax law requirement).
  • Police records / Guest register: retained in accordance with the time limits prescribed by Belgian law.
  • Commercial data: 3 years after your last stay or contact with us, unless you request its deletion before then.


5. Who do we share your data with?

Camping Confort never sells your personal data to third parties. Your data may

however be shared, only where necessary, with:

  • Our technical service providers (website host, booking management software).
  • Our accountancy firm and/or our legal advisers.
  • The judicial or police authorities, only where legally required. All our subcontractors are required to respect the confidentiality of your data in accordance with the GDPR.


6. What are your rights?

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access: you may request to know what data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification: you may request the correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”): you may request the deletion of your data (unless we are legally obliged to retain it, such as for invoices).
  • Right to object and to restrict processing: you may object to the use of your data for marketing purposes.


To exercise your rights: simply send an email to info@camping-confort.be, attaching a copy of the front of your identity card (for security reasons to prevent identity theft). We will reply within a maximum of one month. If, after contacting us, you feel that your rights have not been respected, you have the option of lodging a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (APD) in Belgium: www.autoriteprotectiondonnees.be.
